It's easy to get the local fishermen to come over and help lash and drag the outrigger back into the water. It's a family affair

I've had really good luck with the lashings. I use them for almost every connection. The only bolt on the boat is the through bolt to keep the motor on.

That blue material on the port side is a tarp to keep the pelicans off the deck at anchor. Big dream is to rig it for sailing on day.

It doesn't look like much but the reserved buoyancy in the bows really help the canoe rise through white water. I've taken the canoe through the surf a few times and want to spend more time learning just how to do it right. If you could launch and land at a beach with surf you would open up the coast for surfer/boaters.
