Dale Dagger left his home in San Diego for the Hawaiian Islands as a teenager. He came to Central America for the first time in '72 (La Libertad). He has since scoured the west coasts of Mexico and Central America looking for and finding waves, truth and beauty.

He's well-versed in a number of disciplines crucial to his job: he can catch fish, he can cook fish, he can judge a wave from the back, and he can tell lots of stories, many of which are true.

 
 

Juan Rodriquez. El Capitan on board the Masayita. Takes care of all the things that keep the boat running properly and the guests happy. Once your board is on the boat, you wont have to worry about it again, It'll be ready and in the water before you are.

Juan doesn't seem to be afraid of much in the water. He's a former lobster diver. He's totally stoked when anyone catches a good wave and may become Nicaragua's ace surf cameraman.

 

Nicole is a Agua-holic. It might have come from growing up in the dry desert mountains of Utah, but now that she’s here, not a day goes by without a dip in the Pacific. If she’s not out in the line-up with you, making sure you’re getting enough waves, you’ll find her swimming in the bay with Agar and Petri (dos perros). She came to San Juan for the surf, the sun and to become a fluent Spanish speaker.

Ezra is a carpenter by trade, who left high-rise construction for something a little less nine to five, will be around to show you a few of his favorite rights. He can also, because of his propensity to spend at least a few months of the year in a cast, give you the lowdown on al the nightlife here in San Juan.
